Small watch guide update. I've gotten the stuff in for the Indigo League, Orange Islands and part of Johto. I'm splitting the OS into Kanto and Johto just to make each tab less intimidating to look at. Once Johto's done, the rest should be easier, since I have my notes and stuff from my watchthroughs. Easy, but time consuming.
Here are some of the color coding ideas I had in dividing up the different types of "canon" episodes.
Pokemon related (Yellow)
>Someone catches a Pokemon>A Pokemon evolves>A Pokemon is released or traded>A Pokemon learns a new move under certain circumstances ( (i.e., Ash's Treeko learning Bullet Seed, not Ash's Squirtle learning Hydro Pump)League related (Red)
>Ash battles a Gym Leader, Elite 4, Champion>Anything happening in the context of the Pokemon League>This includes the Orange League, Battle Frontier, and World Coronation SeriesContest related (?)
>May/Dawn/Serena compete in a Contest/Showcase>In May's case especially, the episode leading into the ContestCharacter related (Purple-Blue)
>Rival battle or appearance>Character debut>Character backstory>A character leaves>Major character or relationship change not fitting into the above Arc related (?)
>Evil team arc>Standalone arcsThe balance here is avoiding colors that are too vivid (I've seen some ugly unreadable spreadsheets) but also not too light to discern. Let me know what you think. I'm not great at color theory by any means.
>>54262920Team Rocket are main characters according to Shudo, so their episodes are "canon" episodes the same way Ash's are.
