it still is, sort of. this gen doesn't really have a greninja, but if there had to be one then it'd be decidueye. decidueye was never going to be in smash from the moment it got put in pokken. think about it, why isn't greninja in pokken? because it's in smash. so it makes sense to now put incineroar in smash because decidueye has already used its "slot". Also Incineroar is a much better fit for smash despite popularity. i love that they made it a grappler, it's what i predicted/wanted them to do.
