It was one of the first Pokemon I caught in Gold. My friend asked me where I got my "Crystal Spinarak", I told him and then he found a shiny Sentret. I ended up deleting that save file in the future because I thought they were a lot more common because my friend found one minutes later my complete chance.
Didn't find another one until I caught a shiny Unown last year in HeartGold
