GIVE ME WHAT I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!
Got a lucky encounter in the Desert Resort! Sorry Shriek, but we'll need to leave your bat buddy in the box for now. Harvest the Trapinch takes Woobats place instead. With Eviolite and attacks as strong as Dig and Rockslide he easily took down Elesa too. Made the fight really anticlimactic after the cool introduction she gets in BW2.
Getting a ground type also means I can forgo the guaranteed Sandshrew and save my Relic Castle encounter to give myself a little treat later, so that's double lucky.
We had a Trapinch in Emerald too and managed to bring her all the way to the champion before she died, so let's see if Harvest can avenge his predecessor!
>>54787313>>54787276Man that's tough, crits can just suddenly call you out like that. Double water type will be a blessing against Flannery though.
>>54787209I'll check it out while grinding next time! Your voice seems pretty chill at least so that's already a plus.
>>54787115I don't think it's too bad to use them, since there's a bunch of other jank in those games to fuck you over. I'm always surprised by how many psychic types there are in gen 1 too, so you're limiting quite a few choices.
>>54787100God that's a shitty loss, but good job on Olivia. Very cool team too.
>>54786602Hypno is honestly underrated. It carries its own weight perfectly well in the first 4 gens at least.
>>54786555Gen 1 I get but what makes it so good in gen 2? Are there just that few moves as strong as Hyper Fang?
>>54786534I just take the first encounter as normal. I've thought about catching one in every "area" of the safari zone before, but I never end up doing it.
>>54782916I got a Cubone holding a Thick Club in pokemon tower in FR. Not very impactful since you can just thief one from a wild Cubone, but still rare. The only 2 shinies in these runs so far have been near the very end when I already had my teams so didn't get used.
