They could have done it like in Dragon Warrior Monsters, but no we have retarded bullshit like Tyrogue, which can't exist because there's no female in the Hitmonline, or Cubone being born with skulls on, or shit like Scyther or Heracross hatching fully born. I also like that Caterpie can reproduce and Gothita isn't a baby.
Not to mention IV breeding, though those existed since the start I guess.
