>>48285522It's that non-existent (sic) expense you blindly hand over that keeps telling the Pokemon brand it's okay to not invest in making the games better because they'll profit from the merchandise you also blindly buy. "The games can be shit since I like buying plushies, cards, and other things with the word Pokemon on it" is basically wasting money on a game you know is bad and then buying tangible DLC like Skylanders that doesn't interact with the game. Vote with your wallet could work, but Pokemon appeals to kids who don't bother complaining about it on the internet and will ask for what they like without knowing the games were previously more polished and had more features, so it will never work. I was one of those kids during RSE who, despite having played Yellow and Silver, didn't care about removed features or inability to cross-gen transfer.
>polished OH NO NO NO LOOK AT THIS CLIP OF USING SURF IN THE UNOVA TOWN>featured packed OH NO NO NO EMERALDBROS THE GALARCHADS ARE CAMPING WITH THEIR POKEMON AGAINPrevious games weren't flawless and newer games are not completely void of features, but the people who are subjectively displeased with the quality of features that are there in place of what was available before do not want to support removed content from the biggest IP in the world.
Do what you want. I can't stop you and my individual lost sale and complaints are not going to fix anything. You enjoy what is being officially offered from the brand and the most joy I get out of it currently is shitposting about it, but I'm not even able to do that anymore. Also I bought a Switch two years early just for Pokemon so fuck whichever group of people keep rushing Game Freak games out the door when they clearly need more time and probably dev training. Legends is going to be optimized in 4 months? I have a higher chance of finding gold in my asshole.
