I think her ending wasn't the worst of them all. Not everyone aspires to be the a superstar or something, some are just happy doing stuff that makes them happy. It was a bittersweet ending to see her staying home, continuing with her work while everyone else went off to have adventures.
It wasn't a great ending, but it wasn't terrible. There wasn't much they could do with her anyway, the writers were kinda cornered there since she was always some sort of pillar. A stable character that helped others when they were having issues.
