Each Pokemon Type generally has specific support cards that influence their design, but that's always been a secondary factor and barely actually changes how a deck is conceptually built outside of particular examples. If by archtypes you mean color, then Pokemon is much, much looser when it comes to that, since you only need type-specific resources to attack, not to actually play and use each card.
You normally pick a single Pokemon and build around it. If you look at tournament results:

But if by MTG archtypes you mean something like pic related, Pokemon is played on a mechanically different level that doesn't allow this sort of circle to happen. Formats have specific cards that are good as opposed to specific concepts. It's hard to explain.
