>>37226961I had followed S/M closely on /vp/ for a year. I was so ridiculously excited about it because it was extremely similar to a fan game I was planning. I was disappointed by the low Pokemon count, but I didn't let that deter me. I was thoroughly disappointed with the game. It felt like it genuinely had a lack of purpose, disposable characters, and no real victory at the end. I get it, it was made to introduce kids back into Pokemon, so it was hand-holdy as a result... but it felt like a void of content. I laughed when they announced USUM. Selling the same game for full price with just slightly more content, something that should have been an update? Gen 8 better be good.
