>>50891940Watch the episode already doofus, but here's a quick recap:
>Lance opened by going all-out with Dragonite against Diantha's Aurorus>Aurorus fell, but not before setting screens and half-killing Dragonite>Out come Gyarados vs Gourgeist>Gourgeist Trick-or-Treats Gyara, tanks a couple of hits, then rapes it>Hydreigon comes out and gets Trick-or-Treated too>Gourgeist falls to Dark Pulse flinchhax>Gardevoir comes in and Mega Evolves right away because Diantha is not retarded>Lance tries to hit it with Flash Cannon but the attack gets no-sold via Psychic>Moonblast gg>Dragonite comes out and Lance Dynamaxes because he realises he'll die otherwise>Dies anyways after stalling a bit>Lance kneels>The endBy the time Gardevoir came out, Dragonite was half-dead already and he had Flash Cannon in his
Hydreigon to deal with it, so he used that first. M-Gardevoir was just plain stronger. She completely dominated Hydreigon and seemed to take more damage from the fucking hail than from Dragonite's Max Move.
This
>>50891922 is pure cope, Diantha dominated from start to end and Lance admitted as much.
Also, Lance's ace is the Red Gyarados. It's clearly marketed as such, and was shown to be able to trade blows with Leon's STRONGEST Charizard, to the point where it didn't die to a Thunder Punch from the thing.
Diantha was clearly shown to be in a different tier than Lance, considering her Gourgeist destroyed Gyara and tanked multiple hits from it and Hydreigon. Also, they were very clear in stating that Lance was a newly crowned champion, so I guess the point was that he's not that experienced outside of tard-wrangling dragons.
