>>50705256The problem with Paul being in the Masters 8 or the PWC is that the writers know damn well they could not give his character justice. Just take a look at all the PWC arc. Incredibly rushed, lackluster battles and lots of fights off-screen.. The very finals are only 3v3 and already looking to be rushed as hell. Paul doesn't deserve to get obliterated like Alan or get a subpar fight against a Champion that's not Cynthia. And while Ash Vs Paul would probably be decent, Paul already fought Ash 8 times. It only makes sense they would want to give Ash something new
