>>17653800Water Pledge. That one move that you really need a tutor to tutor you about so you actually know how it works. You could have learned how to use it in Trainer's School, but they were going to make you practice it with a Piplup and that was like, an insta turn-off to you in every sense of the word.
The first time you used the move was so-so. It wasn't perfect but it did its job, and there's really no one that can say that it wont do its job here too.
"Frogadier, Water Pledge!"
"Get him with Bulldoze, Heliolisk!"
"Heli, heli, heli!"
"Frooooooog..."
Frogadier snarls and pulls himself up. With as much froggy force as he can muster, he brutally punches the floor. The cold tiles start to crack, a fissure starts forming, and from that fissure comes pillar after pillar of pure water.
Compared to the first time you and Frogadier attempted this move in his Froakie stage, against Serena and Furfrou in the Tower of Mastery, it was kind of wonky.--Really wonky. The columns were jittery and it was clear that the frog had no full control over the move and its potential.
In other words, his oath, or pledge to be specific, isn't strong enough for whatever reason.
Now, it's less amateurish, but there are still problems.
The watery columns jut out of the floor and surround Heliolisk. Frightened, he quickly retaliates with Bulldoze, the weaker Earthquake strikes Frogadier, tossing him back a few feet.
>Frogadier's Speed was lowered...The pillars strike Heliolisk and take him for a ride, the basilisk is left drenched on the floor, but he still isn't down.
"Heliolisk,
Electric Terrain!"
"H-Heliooo...!"
