Wake himself was kind of another disaster, sensing a theme with these gyms. I tried having Belasco stall out his Quagsire of actual attacks, particularly Ice Punch, so Omega Red could set up and set up Sub. The fucker has a built in Scope Lens though and got like a fucking dozen crits, including an EQ that brought Omega to 10 HP, so I had to go for the sweep early. Omega actually got pretty far before being stopped dead by Wake's Sash Sharpedo that I needed the Sub for. Brainiac cleaned the rest.
Of course afterwards I receive another hard kick to the balls and have half my team killed again. Shoutouts to Maestro who did absolutely nothing this entire run except waste a slot on my team and then get killed before he could actually be kind of useful against, you know, Darach's Entei, the upcoming Metagross's or Byron. Still have a lot of encounters left, but I am starting to get a bit nervous.
