>>40537766>fascistThere's that word again, funny how nobody even knows what it means anymore.
>>40537707Hoo boy, bowing out of gen 8 has gotten me a lot of (you)s on /vp/, which makes sense since /vp/, Serebii and Twitter are the only hugboxes left for the game on the internet; everywhere else is either lukewarm about it, fighting gen 8 hard, or has gone into full Doomer mode about the franchise.
I mean, I can see waiting for the review embargoes to open up to find out if the game's any good, but buying a game from a franchise like this completely blind like GF wants us to is literally unironically the same as those drones that buy new EA Sports games every year without question.
It's alright, though, outside of one (1) defense.
One defense makes me seethe, hard.
The "eh, it's only $60" argument.
Literally the only people who SHOULDN'T get mad about a roughly-similar quality game getting a price increase are the people who aren't buying it themselves, such as kids who ask their parents for the new Pokemon.
I'm an adult, I have bills to pay and there aren't enough reasons for me to want to rush to the store and buy it day one, when I can wait a couple weeks to get some failed scalper's leftovers at half price.
