Who else skips everything outlined in red in pic-related every time you replay Gen 1? It's such a fucking slog, and it's only made worse by the fact that they are completely non-essential routes, since you can get everywhere they take you by going some other far more convenient route. Add onto that the fact that, by now, most of your Pokemon are probably already fully-evolved so you don't even have any meaningful leveling to look forward to.
