Hello /vp/
I'm 20 years old and I have been playing Pokemon for 6 years now, although I have known Pokemon for about 2/3 of my life. It began for me with anime my local television channel had dubbed and which it was broadcasting every day. I loved the old Pokemon anime, just like every kid in my school and in my neighborhood. Few years have passed after that time during which I have lost my contact with Pokemon. By a whim, I have began playing Sapphire emulated on Visual Boy Advance in 2008 or so, but, being rather dumb 14 year old I used some sort of cheating device, (can't remember which one) to get level 100 Legendaries and, as you might expect, I instantly got bored with the game, without finishing it. My second try came about half year later with Pokemon Ruby. Richer by the experience, I avoided cheats and loved the hell of that game. I have completed Hoenn dex with exception of Pokemon I had to trade to get. Unfortunately, due to computer format, I have lost my save file of that game. Later on came Heart Gold, which I loved even more. It was perfect for me. The Pokewalker, two regions, shiton of Pokemon compared to Ruby. I loved it then and even now, despite many great features of X/Y, HG remains my favorite game. Unfortunately, I have lost that save file as well, that's why I decided to play it once again. However, due to both knowing a lot about that game after my first play through and due to the fact it kept crashing on DeSmuMe, I have defeated Johto Gym Leaders and gave up on it. When Black and White hit the shelves, I have already began browsing /vp/. I remember how we were being updated with new info about it, I remember reveal of new Pokemon. I liked the experience of the game itself, but I also liked being able to share this experience with someone else, even if that someone was bunch of Anonymous posters from all over the world.
