Side note, headcanon is that Bouffalant is based on the 10th United States Cavalry, "The Buffalo Soldiers", who were, in the 1800s in which they were organized, a segregated black unit. The indigenous peoples of the Great Plains said they were like buffalo, fighting back fiercely when cornered and having shaggy, woolly hair, hence the nickname.
