It's almost as if they do grow that big and TPC is just full of shit making up things on the spot. About the only lore TPC claimed that has survived is that Pokemon have the ability to shrink, which only further makes sense that they can actually grow with the Dynamax thing instead of for some reason being able to project hard-light holograms.
