>>51166390I applaud your attempt at counterargumentation, but you are wrong! Let us be realistic about Pokemon, and not idealistic! You're making the very same points that were used to prove communism, socialism, and fascism to be justifiable forms of government.
Hair coloring is only the first step. The design staff wants to make the man into the female. Then there is the other extreme; the woman into the man. All of these people will, from a psychological perspective, adopt a self image that will be reflected in how they view the world, and how they interact with it. They must be aware of themselves, and their image in the public's mind.
Self-expression is dangerous when it is not aligned with the people's image of who you are, and vice versa. In essence, the game designers want to program the game to change the people's image of how they perceive themselves. When people become like the game characters, then they will, like the characters, be like the game. And, like the characters, they will think of the game as a game.
To be more realistic, let us not be idealistic and idealize the game! Instead, let's try to look at reality and reality programming, and see what we can learn from them! This game is in fact a real world program of a world government, and it does have, like you say, goals of mind control and to spread certain ideas.
