>>49051027First gym defeated, but not without some close calls. This hack does not fuck around, throwing multiple trainers with pretty damn good coverage and some clever tricks at you from the start. I nearly got wiped by a Slugma in the gym heading to Cilan, simply because I was struggling to get past its Fire/Water coverage, Recover, and Water Absorb as an ability.
Also, the elemental monkey in the Dreamyard is replaced with troll shit in the form of Smeargle, who has 1 in every stat for a whopping BST of 6 and Splash as its only levelup move, while also locked behind a monstrously powerful Youngster Joey. Instead, a random NPC in Accumula Town gives you the mon strong against the first gym - in my case, Ponyta.
>CilanSurprisingly pretty reserved for a difficulty hack. Just Shroomish, Tangela, and Treecko. Oddish took down the first, but I did risk a crit on Treecko's Technician-boosted Pursuit as I swapped to Ponyta to kill it off. Tangela was a breeze.
Looking ahead, Lenora packs a full team of 6 - so I'm guessing this is only just the start of what's to come.
>>49051192There's no reason why giftmons shouldn't count for areas.
But yeah as other people have said Jirachi or Mew kind of break the game over their knee and I don't know that it fits the theme of using weaker Pokemon like you're doing with your Babylocke.
