SV ran WORSE and had a WORSE LAUNCH than P:LA, the game that served as a prototype leading to it. Game Freak lucked out with Pokémon, they absolutely suck. You just need to look at their retrospect outside the franchise.
Remember when they thought Little Town Hero wouldn't bomb, because it had Toby Fox in it? Or how they sacrificed dev time and resources on XY for the sake of that goddamn Gear Project, trying to make a brand new IP, only for none of them being even a little marginally successful? Give them the fucking time, they need it.
