>>23230455Chikorita isn't even that bad of a starter, it seems like you guys just hate it because of "m-muh competitive". Chikorita learns Razor Leaf almost immediately which helps you sweep early-game. Bayleef on the other hand evolves earlier than the other starters and learns Petal Dance (which is an excellent move in-game) immediately after evolution. Meganium has Blastoise-tier offenses which are perfectly usable in-game and it has good bulk. It also learns the fairly uncommon Body Slam and you can even teach it Earthquake. I honestly don't see the problem. Maybe you guys just suck. If you choose Typhlosion, you pretty much only have Fire-moves since Focus Miss is fucking useless and SunnyBeam seems pointless in-game when most of your enemies are NFE shit. Oh, you picked Chikorita and realized that it doesn't really work on the first two Gyms? Why not catch a fucking Geodude, it can solo all the three first Gyms. You know, that's what team members are for.
