7th gym leader
The leader is the CEO of a Pokeceuticals company who is one of the lead manufacturers of various Potions and battle stims. In the name of profit he does not care that he pollutes the river that runs through the very urban city the gym is in. This pollution causes the river to not be surfable.
The gym is a very simple maze where you can either fight a gym trainer or walk over a puddle of polluted sludge that will randomly poison a memeber or your Pokémon team. Items may not be used outside of battle while in them gym to prevent you from healing the poison too easily. There is a vendor at the front of the gym who sells various battle consumables and a few mystery potions that have random effects when used in battle.
The leader uses dark type Pokémon.

Upon beating the gym your ferocity in battle helps to change the mind of the Gym Leader on his views of pollution. After becoming the champion the river will have been cleaned and you can surf up the now clean river to a massive post game area.
