I actually enjoy just the Battle Tower alone; anything else would be an extra side bonus except for the PWT which I would enjoy even more. It doesn't work this time though since I can't put together any random team I can think of with the entire Pokedex. It was already pretty sad to see triples/rotations removed in gen 7 (Super Triples was my favorite for gimmicky shit) but now there's nothing for me. Even if it is just AI battles it was still fun to streak to 200+, sometimes with unconventional teams.
If Showdown somehow got a Tower sim with all the formats and Pokemon I'd be on that shit all day.
