But realistically Chloe is a character totally designed as a background element for Goh's story, her interaction with Ash is little and there is no chemistry between the two due to their lack of common interests, which I have to admit is something interesting. In their own way, I would like that instead of turning her into a poketard the writers would maintain their inclinations not to develop in that field serving as a lesson to Ash that not everything in this life is about pokemon and maybe finally take a step in the true maturity.
In short, the only interaction I want between Ash and Chloe is antagonism, but as the story progresses they come to learn from each other.
Ash is not a character for romance, but if he should ever be written this way it would only be relevant if he is the one who takes the first step, whether reciprocated or not, this side of the character has never been explored correctly and I think that It would be a good closing of the character if in his last chapter, after a long journey making his dream come true, he asked himself "and now what's next?" for at that moment to meet a random girl who at that moment wakes up in something that he had never experienced and leaving the conclusion open.
