>>57765180My friend and I sometimes play very casually (mostly made out of sealed stuff they've cracked open over the past year or so). Fighting is the only non-deprecated type we don't have a deck for, so I think I'll finally try my hand at making a basic deck out of that. So far, used
pkmncards.com to identify silver-border fighting creatures that look decently fun/effective, so tonight I'll try drafting up a shopping list.
I was going to ask about what ratios of card types and basic/evolution pokemon to include, but thankfully it looks like "the old /tcg/ guide" in OP preemptively answers all that for me, so I'll study that and see what I can get brewing. So thanks for that. Researching this kind of thing is a fucking nightmare on the rest of the internet, which seems to be entirely about meta-chasing and collectorfagging.
We both hate the game-warping nature of multi-prizers, so luckily I'll probably just be paying 10 cents a card or so since what's left seems to mostly be considered bulk. Pretty refreshing to see compared to my thankfully abandoned MTG EDH habit where most cards that were remotely fun had risen to $1+ with no sign of ever returning to normalcy.
We're mostly sticking to silver-border recent cards, but anyone know of any goofy fighting tech from years past that would be funny to play with/against? I think I'll get this old Stunfisk, for instance.
