This is my first time hex editing and I want to increase the size of the dex from GenIII (386, I think) to genIV (807).
I see from this Pokecommunity thread that the variable in question is 9B 01 (GenIII) which should be changed to C1 02 (for a dex with 650 mons).
I tried feeding both numbers into online hex to text programs but can't get anything resembling either of the numbers. Any pointers?
