Otherwise there other opportunities to conclude Ash. Deleting Tobias and letting Ash win the Sinnoh League and closing the Ash part of the Anime with the beginning Unova would have worked too. Iris could have been the new protagonist, alongside Tcheren, Bianca and N, N betraying the party later with the ClLimax at the league.
And finnally Ash should have won the Kalos League.
