That they hammered home the point in L: A with the Froslass quest being a version of the Yuki-Onna myth where the Yuki-Onna spares the life of her husband who tells her of meeting the figure on the mountain, out of respect for the children he gave her (the Froslass in question cares for two snorunt and both Snorunt and Froslass hold a half of the man's journal where he bemoans speaking to his wife of athe figure he met on a mountain).
