Medicham can just spam HJK and zen headbutts with little care because even resists take almost 50% and are crippled for the rest of the match. Gallade doesn't have this luxury, so it has to be careful with spamming CC early game if lando / clef are still healthy and it has to think about dropping a knock off or an SD on the switch (not saying it's a bad thing since knock is based, but he just doesn't have the unga-bunga dumb Pure Power factor cham has).
Of course Gallade still has its advantages, which make him worthwhile (there's a reason Gallade is still ranked even in natdex), namely higher speed over cham, the aforementioned Knock Off to take Aegislash / Slowbro for a spin and its newfound immunity to intimidate meaning that it can spam CC / SD more recklessly without having to fear missing the KO.
I just wished GF wasn't so fucking retarded and gave Gallade (base form too) an actual ability instead of going the Versilify route with "Inner Focus counters Mega Kanga!" and making him another victim of savage powercreep.
