>>16203926It's one of my favorite things too. Pikachu definitely has more (pardon my choice of word) 'edge' to him than Ash does. You can really trace it all the way to the beginning where Ash first picked him and Pikachu really wanted nothing to do with him, even laughing at him failing to catch a pidgey on the first route. While he's obviously mellowed out over the years, in no doubt thanks Ash, we still see that attitude and temper come out ever so often and its one of the things I love.
