>>50547536If you evolve an unnamed Japanese Pokemon in an English game it will keep the same name as its pre-evolution. I.E. Mizugorou (Mudkip) evolved into Mizugorou (Marshtomp with Mudkip's name). The only exception to this is when you evolve a Tsuchinin (Nincada), the Ninjask will keep Tsuchinin as its name, however, the Shedinja will have its proper Japanese name (Tekkanin). I've only tried this in Emerald, so I don't know if they fixed this in the newer games.
