Granted it gave certain mons a chance to be viable but it was a shitty and gimmicky way to choose to balance the game, though if you don't care too much about continuity and shit or appreciate the designs I can see why you'd like it
Overall though the sentiment before was seemingly at least that megas were shit and it's funny to see people reverse on their opinions and statement just to seethe and shit all over GF when there's plenty of real reasons to do so instead of having to grasp at straws and hold everything against them
