They mock me as if I'm going to let them push me off a cliff again, then Ranger Rival and brother Kevin appear to even the odds.
I battle Commander ????????, who has a Luxio that spams Roar and this bitch of a Fakemon, Beatote. It knows Protect/Confuse Ray/Tail Glow/"Bug Strike" even though there's no Phys/Spec split and Bug-types are Physical, and overleveled to boot. For some reason it doesn't use Bug Strike against me while Sneasel is out, and I use Rock Smash enough time to cripple its Defenses.
It also got quads with Protect, so check that.
Eventually it does use Bug Strike to take out Sneasel, and Furbait 2HKOs with Aerial Ace.
Furbait evolves into hopefully the same ballbuster it was in RoL, Leana tries to arrest them, and then they show her the "Frozen Orb" and the two grunts jump off the cliff with it to try to escape; the commander for some reason doesn't try.
Outside we find Kevin and Ryan talking to each other, and they challenge me to a double battle. Their combined team consists of Chirpish/Growlithe/Pikachu/Roselia/Riolu/Charmeleon, and upon winning they lament that Kevin lacks a Pokédex.
Also if you say "no" to the Double Battle you can't do it at all, good thing I saved a state before starting.

custom islands in the game but gameplay-wise, while things might be tweaked, the current version is 100% finished.
