Cleared up Union Cave for some further XP while unlocking the 3rd Unown tier which lets you get a lucky egg in this version of the game. That plus the level curve patch makes grinding not really an issue. Going to mull over a 6th team member. The safari zone is nice but it's a shame you still have to beat Clair to get Hitmontop/Kingdra regardless. Jasmine went down pretty easily, though I had to lose Arbok in the process of crippling Steelix, the thunderbolt magnemites hit hard.
