I know ILCA got a lot of shit for how BDSP turned out but I have to give them some slack. They were newcomers who were given a small timeframe during a pandemic to release two highly anticipated titles. It’s not like they could go from scratch either. They had to follow Gamefreak’s old framework of DP with glitches included. They had some wonderful concept art of how they wanted the game to look, but great remakes would’ve overshadowed the two previous titles of the mainline company as well as overshadow the incoming Pokemon Legends Arceus.
Now, I’m an oldfag who used to work at Crave years ago if that tells you anything. The crunch was what made me change careers entirely. That said, I don’t see what (if any) benefit we’d get from having an Unova remake on the switch where 9 Pokémon mainline titles will already exist. Great, you can catch the few remaining Unovamons like Zebstrika and Patrat, but that’s little compared to what BDSP brought back as far as the mon list goes. TPC better not fuck it up (especially since it’s also the generation that had a direct sequel as it’s partner games).
