Some of the Sugimori Gym cards are pretty decent, too, just because they're framed in interesting ways. Its not like Sugimori's a bad illustrator or anything -- he's the OG for a reason. It's just that whoever's job it was to take his work and translate it into a card tended to really phone it in.
