I don't give a shit what anyone says Scarlet and Violet are awesome pokemon games.
The main game and the DLCs all slapped so hard.
They might be up there next to BW2 for me.
I'm so excited to see what they do with Pokemon stories in the future because I haven't been this invested in the characters and story since BW and BW2.
So much stuff about it just appeals to me:
>The legendary being your ride Pokemon and having personality in cutscenes.
>It fees like it's YOUR Pokemon adventure, but the protagonist also has some personality compared to virtually ANY other pokemon game. (Fucking Sun and Moon protag I'm looking at you and your soulless face)
>You can actually play with friends on same map, looking for shinies is great. Wish we could trade items easier.
I feel connected to my mons more than in nearly any other game BUT ALSO have the ability to trying competitive shit for what feels like the first time EVER due to the game just, PROVIDING you with ways to create competitive teams since the start!
Food being actuall addition to gameplay was also great and i hope they will hope expanding on this aspect.
Raids are fun as hell, figuiring out with friends what can work really made them feel more special.
The story doesn't feel INTRUSIVE like the Sun and Moon games. (Those games feel like being side character in a movie, I cannot stand that.)
The overall vibes are just so good, and even with light and camera gliches is still most enjoyable game Pokemon on Switch (Arceus was indeed better though)
