Find one or two pokes you enjoy, then get licenses for them, but otherwise you want real money to be on the battle pass (for how much shit you get out of it), and then on upgrading items. And yeah I'd recommend the 7.99. I got the premium pass with it, but you could easily buy a ton of other shit with that. It should be noted, you get 2x on ALL the first 4 tiers, so if you buy the 7.99 then the 0.99 then the 2.99 you get double for each of those. If you get the 7.99 you can get the premium pass, then the 2.99 atop it will let you get the NEXT pass. Not a horrible deal, but I know not everyone is interested in throwing money at a brand new game that has no proof it'll live a year though.
