>>30158983Lillie's writing isn't bad and I like characters growing, it's just that she's constantly forced upon you that makes me hate her. She's not like Zinnia where her characterization is what makes me hate her, it's just that I can't get away from her, every aspect of the game conspires to keep you within five feet of her at all times.
The worst thing so far in my playthrough was when you're forced to go to the library with her. You can't go to Route 10 because Skull grunts are blocking the bus stop (even though there's no logical reason for that to stop the bus from appearing), so you go to the library and nothing fucking happens beyond an empty cutscene, and then when you go back to Route 10 the Grunts are STILL THERE, doing exactly what they were doing before with no difference other than the game saying "okay, you've filled out your mandatory Lillie quota for this area, now you can progress with the game and battle them." It's the worst, the game is almost holding itself hostage to force you to spend time with Lillie, the entire universe bowing to her whims of you protecting her against your will.
