Yeah, fuck Game Freak for always taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back! Now I'm going to back and play the peak of the series, gen 5, which has no overworld encounters, no diagonal movement, no camera control, no trainer customization, no rideable pokemon, no party PC, no raids, and where all the pokemon are represented by low quality sprites with shitty tween animations. I wish Game Freak would actually put in effort again!
