My brother got bored of Pokemon when he kept winning in-game over and over, until he started battling against my EV-trained Pokes, and regularly lost 6-0. Now he says "I want to be a Pokemon master like you!" and is totally enthusiastic about learning competitive. I helped him get his first bred-and-trained Mega Blastoise today, and I let him win to give him some encouragement.
