I was excited for a game in a medieval japan setting, but instead I got a shitty region with ugly kingdoms and with not much to do, some trashy anime plot and a terrible dex. The gameplay gets repetitive and tedious fast too, so it can't really save it.
But seriously, they have all kinds of pokemon perfect for a traditional japanese setting like ninetales, seaking, mawile, ninjask, shiftry, claydol, cherrim and bronzong, and they pick pokemons like chandelure, gothielle, zebstrika, metagross, gurdurr, empoleon, scrafty and drifblim instead. Such a waste.
At least the characters from the other game were cool.
