That Ninetails episode is excellent. I had forgotten it was after Fly Me to the Moon. It's one of the last stand-out episodes Johto has. Its premise is reminiscent of The Ghost at Maiden's Peak, but it ultimately manages to be original in the end with its tragic tale of a Ninetails that was slowly abandoned and never got closure. Good thing Brock putting it in its Pokeball pacified its addled, tormented mind, because it actively tried to kill Ash and Pikachu.
I wonder if Lokoko referred to Ninetails as a separate entity from herself in the Japanese version. Does anyone know if she did or if 4Kids just had Ninetails refer to itself in the third person?
