I would LIKE to imagine that they'll try to not introduce powercreep to this game by keeping everything relative on the powerscale, and I hope they can avoid the problem most Gacha have with powercreep because everyone already likes Pokemon, and people will pull for Pokemon they like just to collect, regardless of powerlevel. The ISSUE with that is that they'll rerelease Pokemon at some point. So for example, for people that like Greninja right now, he's fairly usable in the backline for his ability, but eventually they will release a Greninja EX or Ash-Greninja 4 or 5 sets from now, and and you'll have to keep scaling the powerlevels until the creep will eventually get bad. Do I hope my Charizard deck is vaguely usable right now? Of course I do. Will it be viable at all? Probably not.
