>>51626441honestly? yes GSC and HGSS are good games, maybe the best Pokemon games. but it was honestly a mistake to have it be so similar to RBY in the first place, with another gym circuit with exactly eight gyms of only type experts, another league (technically the same league), beating the champion and filling the Pokedex as your main goals, very similar map design, etc. the fact that these games never got beyond that, and we never got ANY games with different progression and goals until PLA, is kind of embarrassing compared to other series that actually evolved over time.
