when the mech armor gym leader was being suggested a lot of people got mad about the fact that the armor was based off of basilect because the bug gym leader couldn't have basilect.
imo if the bug samurai has armor based off of basilect he should have basilect. if he doesn't them the armor shouldn't resemble it.
