>>37554027>>37554032You hit on a lot of stuff I like about Incineroar, although I tend to focus on its M20 and Pokedex entries' "ferocious, arrogant" persona more than the (actually fun though) meme-hammy personality others tend to think of involving it.
As for proportions, the big thing I always use to justify it is that while you make many good points on RL tigers, it also hits a lot of sabertooth and ice age cats' proportions. Sabertooths had longer arms than legs and were even more jacked versus modern tigers, especially in regards to upper arms and torsos. A couple species were becoming bear-like with long fingers and semi-opposable thumbs for grappling and plantigrade feet for stability when wrestling down prey. It's a heck of a coincidence, but it works so well I roll with it for how wild Incineroar would work outside the fire element.
>>37554086I also tend to this line of thinking otherwise, especially in gimmicks or typing. I just like justifying how pokemon would work in a natural or wild setting.
BTW, I found this pic and I really like it. I finally see good wild/quadruped Roar art without its design being changed majorly.
