>>54164405I think HGSS' environments, gameplay and especially music were some of the best on the DS but actual pokemon design-wise it was always kinda bland to me. I do remember it having alot of content though. No I'm not part of that recently trending thing here to say they hate Gen 2 but I am saying I think Gen 1 mons had more memoreable designs for old gen.
I remember Steelix, Scizor and Slowking being my favorite Gen 2 pokemon as a kid but now my tastes changed and I've grown out of it along with liking Onix more than Steelix and Slowbro more than king for being silly. Never liked Ho oh as a kid being some bland bird compared to lugia being a lochness monster and now I do for it's colors and shiny and think lugia is just weird. And for some reason Entei has been growing on me since it reminds me alot of a Tibetan Mastiff even though I used to think it was really overrated and didn't have enough color.
Remembering why I thought different things as a kid and comparing that to 25 year old me now is tough, besides just Pokemon.
