It's the technicality that you *could* get a Sylveon with the Twinkling Star ribbon, but only if you held off on evolving it. It's so painfully frustrating because it sets a precedent that you can never be certain that your Pokemon will have every ribbon possible whether they're half-way in a game or not at all. It's a lose/lose because GameFreak can't be fucked to add the evolved form that should be in the game already, Dexit totally aside.
>>53758857I'm not claiming they did, I said they acknowledged Ribbon Masters, so there's no excuse to be this borderline purposefully neglectful. There is no "Ah, they didn't know people did that!" because they do. It was already stupid enough without the issues with ribbons in the examples I gave; why would you exclude Unovan Samurott, but include Weavile or Scizor? Just add them all if the pre-evolved form is going to make it in, or just don't add any of them and keep it strictly new forms.
